Bright by Text, a nationwide family engagement service, is expanding our business development team and is seeking Director of Business Development. This position will develop relationships and secure funding through public, nonprofit, and corporate entities. The director will help hire new manager positions and support the existing sales team. This role reports to the CEO.
Responsibilities include overseeing the business development team and in addition to identifying, developing, cultivating, and securing partnerships across education systems, safety net organizations, healthcare, and local/state government offices that will result in increased outreach to constituents while supporting Bright by Text’s social enterprise model.
This Job is for You, if…
You have B2B experience and relationships in the public/private early education sectors generating outbound sales and partnership leads, securing presentation meetings with key decision makers to close deals.
You have experience in managing a sales team.
You’re a technology enthusiast who understands how robust data can drive impact.
You can build trusted relationships and align mutual initiatives across various levels of stakeholders within organizations.
You know how to build out and oversee the sales process using our robust CRM system.
Coordinate strategies with account management, marketing, and communication teams
You are a collaborator both externally and internally and can manage strategies with product, marketing, business development, and operations teams
You are both a doer and a strategist. You recognize that business development requires day-in/day-out methodical emailing and follow-up, and you recognize the importance of seeing the macro-trends in the public/private space and understanding the underlying psychology and pain-points of stakeholders.
You understand the importance of learning and listening as you step into this role, but you are confident that you can help take the organization to the next level.
You’re a quick study, driven and can work independently with minimal supervision.
Track record: 6+ years of experience in sales, project management, and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree
Experience with CRM systems, Zoho preferred
Contracted or Full-time, work from home with participation in team meetings
Some travel may be required
Location: Virtual, headquarters is in Denver, CO
Salary $90k commensurate or $55 hourly rate
