Q: Can I get Bright by Text where I live?

A: Bright by Text is available to anyone living in the United States or its territories with a cellphone and a data plan. 

Q: How much does Bright by Text cost?

A: Bright by Text is a free service, however check your mobile service plan to see if text messaging or data fees apply.

Q: Can I receive text messages for more than one child that I care for?

A: Yes. Simply re-enter your sign-up keyword (e.g. BRIGHT) to add another due date/date of birth, or text HELP and click the link to your user profile to add another due date/date of birth.

Q: How do you ensure that my information is private?

A: We take your privacy very seriously. We ask for your child's due date or date of birth at sign up so we can send specific messages that are the most relevant for your child’s development. We never share, sell, or disclose this data and it is only used to provide relevant and timely information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.

Q: If I provide my cell phone number, will you share it with other companies or organizations?

A: We never share, sell, or disclose cellphone numbers or any other data we collect. Refer to our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions for more details.

Q: How do I change the language of the text messages I receive?

A: Bright by Text is currently available in English and Spanish. If you would like to update your language preferences, text the word "English" or "Español" to 274448. You will receive a text message confirming the language you have chosen.

Q: How do I update my zip code?

A: Text HELP and click the link to your user profile to update your zip code, or contact admin@brightbytext.org and include the phone number associated with your account and your new zip code.

Q: I no longer want to receive text messages, how do I unsubscribe?

A: If you would no longer like to receive Bright by Text messages, text STOP to 274448.

Q: I deleted my history of Bright by Text messages, is there a way to retrieve these?

A: Please contact admin@brightbytext.org and include the phone number associated with your account, and we will email you a historical record of the text messages you have received from Bright by Text.

Q: I live in a rural area, will I still be able to receive texts?

A: Bright by Text messages can be received anywhere in the United States with cellular coverage. Messages can also be received if you are connected to WiFi and the internet.
