EMMET COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- United Way of Northwest Michigan has found a new way to connect with families virtually during the pandemic.
It's called Bright by Text.
Those signed up will receive a few texts per week with tips, tricks, links, videos and other resources for parents with young children.
The content is from places like PBS, Vroom, Sesame Street and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The best part? It is all free!
"For me, as a new father, to have a place to turn with a trick to help my daughter calm down or something about making bath time a little more fun it's been really helpful for me as a new dad and something we feel like parents in the region could benefit from too," said United Way of Northwest Michigan President Seth Johnson.
If you would like to sign up for the service, you just need to text NWMI to 274448 and follow the prompts on the screen.
