SRI/Bright by Text Research Study Overview

Dear Parent or Caregiver,

You are invited to participate in a research study conducted by SRI International, a non-profit research organization.

About This Study: The purpose of the study is to learn about the effect of programs to support parents and caregivers of young children. You will be asked to complete one survey at the beginning and one survey at the end of the 12-week study. The surveys will ask you about your views on parenting and about your background. The surveys should take approximately 10 minutes each. Some parents and caregivers will be asked to participate in a phone interview at the end of the study. Parents/caregivers will be randomly assigned to participate in Group A or Group B. Both groups will receive the same compensation. At the end of the study, both groups will receive all study materials.

Compensation: You will receive a $25 online Amazon gift card for completing the first survey and a $25 online Amazon gift card for completing the second survey ($50 total for participating in this study). Parents and caregivers who participate in the phone interview will receive an additional $25 gift card.

Benefits: While there is no direct benefit to you, your participation will help us better understand the impact of programs to support parents and caregivers, and what supports parents prefer.

Costs: There is no cost for participating in this study.
